Governor Wike sacks paramount ruler

– Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has withdrawn
the certificate of recognition of Eze Anthony Owabie as
the paramount ruler of Rumuepirikom community
– The sack of the paramount ruler has caused
apprehension in Rumuepirikom community as elders
and youths have bickered over the governor’s decision
– The spokesman for the embattled Eze, Mr. John Ihua,
describes the action of the state government as illegal
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state caused
commotion in Rumuepirikom, his home country,
when he sacked Eze Anthony Owabie, as the
paramount ruler of Rumuepirikom community in
Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of the
state.
